DiFabio’s is a fan favorite for great food and libations in Delaware County and beyond. Discriminating guests travel from Blue Bell to Brookhaven to enjoy some of DiFabio’s favorites. Chief among them are our homemade pastas, classic Italian dishes such as chicken parmesan and fried calamari, our killer king cut prime rib, amazing burgers and cheese steaks. What more and more of our customers have discovered is DiFabio’s can be their “made from scratch baker” as well. As we all know the mom and pop bakery has gone by the wayside for the discount club stores and supermarkets. These bakeries have replaced natural ingredients for items like high fructose corn syrup and a variety of un-pronounceable preservatives to make baked goods unnaturally sweet and capable of lasting a long time on store shelves. The DiFabio’s bakery, which started out baking chocolate cookies, only uses real sugar, cocoa and homemade cake mixes. This dedication to quality has been noticed, and led to the “rise” in the bakery. DiFabio’s now boasts a variety of the freshest and most delicious breads and baked goods.
DiFabio’s offers sheet cakes filled with chocolate or vanilla pudding for your next birthday, shower, or graduation. Some of DiFabio’s favorites include our authentic ricotta cookies (just like grandma made), Italian butter and pignolia cookies, and the oversized chocolate chip and choco peanut butter cookies. Beyond the cookies, let’s discuss the homemade tiramisu, the mind-bogglingly good carrot cake, strawberry shortcake and Boston crème cake. Pies you say? DiFabio’s sold over 2000 pies in November as customers made us their Thanksgiving pie of choice. Other pies include our high apple, apple crumb, lemon merengue, chocolate raspberry, pumpkin cheese, and coconut custard. They are all good, and all homemade with love and the freshest ingredients.
Finally, lets talk about the bread. Jerry Sheehan, DiFabio’s Bread Baker, is a true artisan, having been trained in Europe. His sourdoughs, brioches, ryes, multi-grains and focaccias are the highlight of any meal. Ask for Jerry’s special holiday breads during the Christmas and Easter seasons. What started out as one temperamental oven in our original tiny kitchen has grown into a full fledged stand alone bakery with three full time bakers ready to make your next event just that much better, and homemade.
